Can foreigners buy property in Dubai?

Yes. Any nationality can own freehold property in Dubai's designated areas, and you do not need to live in the UAE to do it. Here is how it works.

Can foreigners buy property in Dubai?

The short answer is yes. Any nationality can buy freehold property in Dubai's designated freehold areas, with full ownership registered in your name at the Dubai Land Department. You do not need to be a UAE resident.

What freehold means

Freehold is full ownership. The home is registered in your name at the Dubai Land Department, and it is yours to live in, let or sell.

What it costs on top of the price

Budget for the 4% Dubai Land Department transfer fee, plus the developer's or trustee's administration fees. On off-plan launches bought through Urban Vibe you pay no buyer commission: the developer pays the brokerage, and you pay the developer's official price.

Off-plan or ready

You can buy a home that is still being built, or one that is finished. Off-plan launches come with a payment plan spread over construction. Ready homes can be viewed, valued and moved into now.

How to start

  1. Tell us your budget, your purpose and your timeline.

  2. We send a short list with official pricing and the payment schedule.

  3. You view, we check the developer and compare the market.

  4. We handle the booking, the sale agreement and the Dubai Land Department registration.

  5. You collect the keys, and we stay with you for leasing or resale.
